Striking original Nishijima woodblock print, 2005, “Camellia in Yoshino” ed. 500.  Eye-catching rendering of beautiful camellia plant with striking red blossoms in Nara prefecture.  Features traditional Japanese thatched roof in background against cloud strewn blue sky.  Pencil signed and numbered by the artist. Very good condition. Nishijima is fast becoming one of the most collected contemporary woodblock artists in Japan today. Great investment – with each buying trip to Japan, we find prices for his works double! Dimensions: 11" x 15.5".
