Elegant Japanese woodblock print by Fujita Fumio, c. 1998.  “Young Leaves B,” from an edition of 150.  Forest of white birch trees with newly budding spring leaves vibrantly portrayed.  Graduated from the Musashino College of Fine Arts, Fujita Fumio has been active in woodblock printmaking since 1963. His minimalist approach offers the essential in lines, design and color to stunning effect.  Here, a the white trunks of birch trees enveloped in a sea of green.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  9.25” x 21.5”.
