Pair of evocative original Nishijima woodblock prints, 20th century. Redolent rendering of solitary entryway accented by swiftly falling rain, hat and textile partnered with quiet doorway obscured by lovely falling snow.  Pencil signed.  Very good condition. Nishijima is fast becoming one of the most collected contemporary woodblock artist in Japan today. Great investment – with each buying trip to Japan, we find prices for his works double!  Dimensions:  13” x 10 ½” each.
