Beautiful Chinese carved jade amulet pendant rendered in lovely peony design, 19th Century China.  Finely carved peonies on one side, and the Chinese character for happiness depicted on the other.  Jade has long been prized in China as the “royal gemstone.”  As China’s national stone, it stands as a symbol of steadfast faith and honesty, as well as good luck, good health and wealth.  This charmingly carved example makes a lovely collector’s item.  Very good condition.  Height: 2".
