Lovely Japanese furo-gama, cast-iron kettle and bronze brazier for the tea ceremony, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. The iron tea pot (kama) has a raised iron hobnail (arari) finish to thebody. The lid is made of bronze and has a small lotus bud for the top. The kettle sits on the portable brazier which traditionally holds coal and wood ash to keep the water warm. Very good condition.
