Stunning pair of signed Japanese hair ornaments, comb and pin, Taisho period (1912-1926).  Signed by Yai-Go.  Lacquered tortoise shell with exquisite gold maki-e design and abundant mother-of-pearl inlay.  The pin separates to allow the wearer to secure her hair in the myriad of styles 19th-century Japanese women favored. Very good condition.  Dimensions:  6.5” (pin); 4” (comb).
