Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Fine signed and handpainted Japanese Courtesan Orian kimekomi doll, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Standing figure is colorfully robed in finely handpainted kimono.  The origin of this type of doll dates to the early 18th century.  Clothing tucked and glued into grooves on the body, which is made of compacted paulownia wood sawdust in the traditional kimekomi form.  Doll displayed on wooden platform and accompanied by the original signed box.  Very good condition.  Dimensions: 5" wide, 4.5" tall.   Features Please note that, when ordering through our shopping cart, your credit card will be processed only after confirmation of availability and shipping options.
