Fabulous, old, polychrome, lacquer and gilt Chinese Buddha seated on lotus pedestal, late 18th to early 19th century.  Beautifully handcarved wood for personal or Buddhist temple shrine. Lovely, serene and contemplative face.  Fine condition with painted artist mark in black ink on the underside.  Slight wear on head.  Bought from an old Los Angeles estate.  In the style of Ming, Kang Shi, Chien Lung dynasties.  A special piece for the collector.  Height 7”.
