Whimsical Japanese scroll featuring mythical character Tobosaku known for stealing peaches from Seibo’s garden and thus becoming immortal, early- to mid-20th century. Here he is shown frolicking mischievously with a smile of delight on his face.  Ink and color on silk. Vivid rendering, delicately painted with wonderful sense of charm and detail. Artist signed/stamped Kosetsu.  Comes with kiri wood storage box.  Very good condition. Dimensions: 75.5” x 22”.
