Brilliant Japanese fukuro style obi, mid-20th century. Pure silk, patterned on one side, partially solid on the reverse. Beautiful gold and vividly colored royal cart motif on rich black background. Striking detail and skillful craftmanship. Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions: approximately 4 yards long, 12" wide. Very good condition.
