Striking Japanese fukuro style obi, mid-20th century. Pure silk, patterned on one side, partially solid on the reverse. Splendid gosho garuma imperial court design. Deep orange and shimmering gold brocade. Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions: approximately 4 yards long, 12" wide. Very good condition.
