Lovely, antique Japanese maru style obi, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926. Pure silk, fully patterned on both sides, luxuriously heavyweight. Highly detailed motif includes abundantly patterned motif of phoenixes in flight amid pine and bamboo. Rich, olive green background. Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions: approximately 4 yards long, 13" wide. Very good condition.
