Superb Japanese fukuro style obi, mid-20th century.  Pure silk, patterned on one side (with solid area where knot would normally be tied approximately 3 ˝'); solid on the reverse.  Dynamic stylized floral motif.   Rich, varied colors.  Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions:  approximately 4 yards long, 12" wide. Very good condition.
