Breathtaking Japanese wedding kimono or uchikake, mid-20th century.  Dramatic wine-colored silk ground with elaborate motif of soaring cranes amid green pine and red prunus. Highly detailed, extraordinary workmanship. Slight train with heavy padded hem.  These were and still are traditionally worn over the kimono and obi of a bride. A dynamic piece of art for wear or display. Very good condition.  Dimensions:  54 wide, 78 long.
