Enchanting pair Japanese silver sake ewers or kettles by artist Shigemitsu, early 20th century, c. 1930.  Distinctive double-gourd forms with long, sweeping handles and chrysanthemum metalwork details.  Tripod feet elegantly lift the silver vessels, enhancing these enchanting forms.  Fine artistry of metalwork skillfully achieved.  Impressive pieces for display or traditional use.  Accompanied by tomobako wood storage box.
