Remarkable, beautifully rendered set of Japanese abumi stirrups, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Highly detailed overall with delightful chrysanthemum petal shape and charming chrysanthemum flower décor.  Subtle metal colorations beautifully contrasted with the rich red interior.  Terrific features and detail painstakingly crafted.  A rare find for the mingei collector.  Very good condition.  Dimensions: 11" high, 10” long.
