Charming Japanese Kimekomi Gosho doll, mythical Shoki the Demon Slayer, Taisho period (1912-1926). Youthful representation, finely handpainted, delightful expression and detail. Stunning brocade costume in traditional Kimekomi style with clothing tucked and glued into grooves on the body, which is made of compacted paulownia wood sawdust. Gosho head with brilliant white skin, created by the application of many layers of polished gofun. Very good condition. Dimensions: 14 high w/stand, 12.5 w/out, 10.5 x 8.5 (stand).
