Legend says that upon her husband's death before his planned invasion of Korea, the Empress Jingu invaded Korea herself while pregnant, and was aided and accompanied by her retainer, the Prime minister Sukune. Fine, vibrantly rendered silk brocade costume and battle array. Features include wonderfully expressive, finely rendered face, eyes, hair, and characteristic long beard.
