Lovely pair Japanese silver sake ewers or kettles, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Distinctive eggplant form with delicate handle and cap.  Beautifully hammered throughout.   Fine metalwork artistry skillfully achieved.  Impressive pieces for display or traditional use. Accompanied by tomobako wood storage box. Very good condition.  Dimensions:  6.5” (16 cm) high w/ handles, 2.75” (7 cm) diameter.
