Extremely rare and exceptional set of Japanese temple fusuma doors, Edo period, 17th century.   Exquisitely painted on both sides!  Egrets and irises alongside a meandering stream grace one;  dramatic foo dogs climb along peony-laden, rock outcropping on the other.  Incredible expression and brilliant artistic execution. Color and impression still vivid.  A seldom to be found pair!  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  67.5” high, 34.5” wide.
