According to myth, the strongest koi swims upstream until it reaches the waterfall, where it hurdles into the mist to become a water dragon. A striking example in very good condition. A splendid find, as these are getting more and more difficult to find. This one is signed and comes with the original storage box: 52nd generation swordmaker, Myochin. Good luck at New Year. The Myochin family is known for crafting swords and armor in Japan since the Muromachi era. During the Meiji period, when swordmaking was restricted, they turned their talents to decorative items such as this one. Very good condition. Dimensions: 15” long (tail to antennae), 4” wide.
