Remarkable, large Japanese iron tetsubin tea kettle for warming water during the tea ceremony, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Rustic skirt design with dramatic foo dog and peony design. Wonderful aged patina.  Exceptional workmanship.  Artist signed.  Come with traditional kiri wood storage box.  Very good condition. Dimensions:  16” x 12”.
