Tremendous Japanese bronze temple bell or singing bowl, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Wonderful hammered bronzework both inside and out, seated on a lovely red lacquer stand.  Engraving along the circumference.  Subtle, high-quality workmanship.  Traditionally used at temple or for personal religious practice as well as dramatic display.  Comes with striking mallet, which produces a fine, rich tone. Very good condition.  Dimensions:  28” high w/stand; 12” high, 14.5” diameter (bowl); 12” high (stand w/out cushion).
