Enchanting Japanese kitchen or tea tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Delightful combination of kiri (paulownia), cedar and dramatic, richly grained keyaki (zelkova) woods. Fabulous design accents include glass and wood paneled sliders, various drawers and customized wood stand. Light, graceful metalwork adds to the overall appeal of this refined piece. A truly beautiful example of traditional tansu craftsmanship. Very good condition. Dimensions: 37” high w/stand, 34” wide, 11.5” deep.
