Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Wonderful Japanese stone garden basin or tsukubai., Meiji period (1868-1912).  Beautifully crafted in low, ovoid shape.  Stone basins traditionally were placed in ancient Japanese shrine, temple and tea gardens or entrances.  Visitors used these to wash before entering for the purpose of humbling and purification.  A remarkable piece!  Very good condition.  Dimensions: 20" x 20" x 11".   Features Please note that, when ordering through our shopping cart, your credit card will be processed only after confirmation of availability and shipping options.
