Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Breathtaking Japanese stone lantern or garden ishidoro, late Edo-early Meiji period, c. 1850-1900.  This piece came to us, along with several others, from a garden near Kyoto.  Ishidoro are traditionally used to light temple, shrine and tea garden areas.  This piece is Nuresagi style, evoking a heron or crane standing on one leg.  Only a few antique lanterns of this style remain and so are highly desirable.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  93” high, 33” diameter.   Features Please note that, when ordering through our shopping cart, your credit card will be processed only after confirmation of availability and shipping options.
