Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Amazing, extra-large Japanese stone snow lantern or garden ishidoro, late Edo-early Meiji period, c. 1850-1900.  This piece came to us, along with several others, from a garden near Kyoto.  Ishidoro are traditionally used to light temple, shrine and tea garden areas.  This piece is Yukimi style for “snow viewing,” because its roof captures the snow to beautiful effect.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  45” high, 48” diameter.   Features Please note that, when ordering through our shopping cart, your credit card will be processed only after confirmation of availability and shipping options.
