Superb antique Japanese maru style obi, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Pure silk, fully patterned on both sides, luxuriously heavyweight.  Remarkable, highly detailed crane, peacock and pine motif.  Lush, dark teal ground with varied color accents.  Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions:  approximately 4 yards long, 12.5" wide.  Very good condition.
