Fine Japanese Seto ceramic umanome or horse eye plate, late Edo period, c. 1800-1868. Often found in museum collections, a wonderful example of Mingei folk pottery. Heavy, rustic feel with iron brown underglaze. Unglazed, raised footrim. Appealing size, very good condition. Dimensions: 10.5”.
