Rustic Japanese Seto ceramic mizusashi water vessel for the tea ceremony, late Edo period, 18th century.  From the Seto kilns in the Mino area, with a dark brown glaze.  One light unglazed area on the shoulder signifies the front of the vessel.  Comes with a fitted black-lacquer lid.  A dramatic piece offering eye-catching beauty and functionality.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  8” x 7”.
