Superb Japanese handpainted Satsuma ceramic pedestal-form tray, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926. Glorious mille-fleur motif in dramatic, vibrant and varied Satsuma palette with moriage (raised) detail. Remarkably skilled rendering and appealing form, a wonder for the collector of decorative Satsuma. Jinzan Satsuma mark on underside. (See companion pieces – item numbers JEXF52 and JEXF53.) Very good condition. Dimensions: 3.5” x 9”.
