Wonderful old Japanese standing samurai musha warrior doll, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Crafted for display on Boys' Day, celebrated annually in Japan on May 5. Exceptionally expressive gofun face and hands. Fine detail in silk brocade costume. Wonderful, highly detailed rendering. Additional accessories include spear, sword and kabuto (helmet). Very good condition. Dimensions:  5” wide, 13” high.
