Stunning Japanese princess costume doll with koto, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926. Crafted in Kyoto, indicating and exceptional level of quality and artisanship. An enchanting rendering showing character with animated face and pose and finely detailed hands. Dramatic red silk kimono with plum blossom motif. Great care and fine craftmanship.
