Fabulous Japanese blue-and-white porcelain koro or incense burner, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Large, meticulous rendering featuring dramatic falcon motif and detailed patterning throughout.  Removeable cover allows for the insertion of dry incense in this tea ceremony vessel often used in the traditional tokonoma or alcove found in Japanese homes.  A rare and remarkable item!  Very good condition. Dimensions:  10” x 11”.
