Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Charming Japanese carved wood Daruma okimono, late Edo period, c. 1800.  An eye-catching piece with the solid form and dramatic bearing.   A remarkable rendering of Daruma, also called Bodhidharma, known as the first patriarch of Zen Buddhism and said to have founded Kung Fu in China. Excellent composition with simple but poignant face and rotund, stylized body.
