Exquisite antique Japanese maru style obi, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Pure silk, fully patterned on both sides, luxuriously heavyweight. Splendid, highly detailed peacock, chrysanthemum and bamboo motif. Chocolate brown ground with gold and white accents. Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions: approximately 4 yards long, 12.5" wide. Very good condition.
