Dramatic antique Japanese maru style obi, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Pure silk, fully patterned on both sides, luxuriously heavyweight.  Splendid, crane motif on rich, dark teal ground with varied color accents.  Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions:  approximately 4 yards long, 12.5" wide.  Very good condition.
