Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Rare Japanese large-caliber gun, or matchlock cannon used by a high-ranking samurai, c. 1650-1750.  All original.  Incised décor of fierce dragons cover the barrel as well as a family crest or mon.  Two characters in Buddhist Sanskrit translate roughly into “Dragon’s Breath.”  The underside of the cannon is signed with the maker’s name and province as well as a possible date.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  42” long, 13 lbs.   Features Please note that, when ordering through our shopping cart, your credit card will be processed only after confirmation of availability and shipping options.
