Dazzling Japanese maru style obi, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926. Pure silk, fully patterned on both sides, luxuriously heavyweight. Highly detailed motif includes abundantly patterned and highly detailed flower cart motif with chrysanthemum and plum blossoms. Lovely cream background with lush multicolor accents. Traditionally wrapped around waist and tied, but also makes a fabulous table runner, window dressing, or wall décor. Dimensions: approximately 4 yards long, 13" wide. Very good condition.
