Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Lovely Japanese maki-e lacquer natsume for tea storage by third-generation master lacquer artist Shunsai Maehata, contemporary.  Like his father, Gaho Maehata, Shunsai has received the official title of Master of Traditional Arts, a recognition that precedes that of Living National Treasure.  One of Japan's most acclaimed young lacquer artists whose pieces grace several museums in the US, Shunsai Maehata here has rendered a charming plum blossom and chrysanthemum motif on the lid and inner rim in delicate gold and red maki-e on glossy black, green and red ground.  Beautifully conceived and skillfully crafted.  Comes with kiri wood tomobako storage box.  Very good condition.   Dimensions:  3” x 2.75”.   Features Please note that, when ordering through our shopping cart, your credit card will be processed only after confirmation of availability and shipping options.
