Rare Japanese lacquer samurai helmet or jingasa, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Glossy, black and red lacquer with dramatic gold mon or family crest.  Interior rich red lacquer with silk chin straps.  An exceptional item for the display or for the collector of Japanese samurai swords and armor. Very good condition.  Dimensions:  7” x 13” x 12”.
