Inspired Japanese lacquer kogo or incense storage box, contemporary.  Subtely rendered uchiwa gata autumn flower motif in Rimpa style. Enchanting fan shape with gold maki-e and mother-of-pearl inlay. Exceptionally well conceived and detailed by renowned lacquer artist Shunsai.  Traditionally for tea ceremony use.  .  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  2.5” x 2” x .5” (6 x 5 x .25 cm).
