Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Remarkable, Japanese wood kanban featuring Chinese poem, early-, mid-20th century.  Dramatic script on finely grained kayaki wood plank representing a verse from Chinese literature known as the Seven-Step Quatrain.  It relates historically to a pair of brothers, Cao Zhi and Cao Pi, and the jealousy that threatens to separate them.  Very good condition with minor distress commensurate with age and use.
