Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Outstanding pair of Japanese emperor and empress dolls or kokin-bina, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Wonderful representation of the imperial couple. Fine silk, hand-embroidered brocade costumes, and beautifully crafted faces with delightful, animated expressions. Traditionally made for display on Girls Day, celebrated annually in Japan.
