Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Fine pair of Japanese standing emperor and empress dolls or kokin-bina, Taisho period, c. 1912-1926.  Wonderful, rare representation of the imperial couple in standing position. Lovely, brocade costumes, and beautifully crafted faces.  Traditionally made for display on Girls Day, celebrated annually in Japan.
