Fine Japanese isho-dansu or clothing chest tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Fashioned of warm, lightweight kiri and cedar woods. Bold, traditional metalwork features handcrafted circular lockplates and heavy warabite style drawer pulls. Decorative bracketing surrounds the entire piece. Long, deep drawers for generous storage space and small cabinet offers further options. Comes with customized wood stand. (For companion piece see item TJ13L6A). Very good condition. Dimensions: 25” high, 36” wide, 15.25” deep.
