Rare, old Japanese ceramic Maneki Neko welcome cat, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Traditional figure shown beckoning with upright paw, seen in almost every store or business in Japan.  The raised left paw is thought to attract customers!  This is an exceptionally large and rare example.  Delightfully rendered with great charm and appeal.  Very good condition with minor loss commensurate with age and use.  Dimensions:  16” x 11” x 13”.
