Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Superb Japanese black Raku ceramic ware ceramic tea bowl by Sasaki Shoraku III, one of Kyoto’s most renowned raku-yaki potters, mid-20th century. Striking replica of Ooguro, a master black tea bowl by Choujirou (C. 1573-1592) originated by Rikyu.  Rich, thick black glaze, fine texture and form. A unique and highly appealing item for the tea ceremony practitioner or enthusiast. Raku potter’s seal mark on underside.  Comes with inscribed tomobako kiri wood storage box.
