Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Beautiful Rinpa School two-panel Japanese screen or byobu featuring gorgeous iris and peony spring flowers, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Finely rendered painting of rich mineral colors on silk. Lively representation includes a bird in flight among gorgeous, blooming peonies and elegant, striking irises.  Extensive detail, particularly visible in the portrayal of a tiny bee gathering pollen amid the lavish petals of a blossoming peony.  Superb use of shadowing and natural, vivid mineral color.  Signed and sealed by the artist. Very good condition.
