Fabulous Japanese bijin or beautiful woman costume doll with umbrella, Taisho period, c.1912-1926. Exquisite hand-painted silk kimono and obi.  Kyoto made, indicating the highest quality and craftsmanship. Charming, expressive gofun face and lifelike pose. Remarkable detail and craftsmanship. Numerous accessories include hair ornaments, geta shoes and umbrella.  Very good condition. Dimensions:   9.5” wide, 16.5” high.
