Rustic Japanese woven bamboo flower basket for ikebana by Chikuunsai I (1877-1937), Showa period, early 20th century.  Exquisitely crafted in tea ceremony taste, tall and slender with varied weaving and sublime effortlessness.  Ideal for use with dramatic floral display.  Signed on underside.  Comes with original lacquered bamboo otoshi tube and signed kiri-wood tomobako box.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:   19” x 6”.
